A new renderer: glow, reflections and graphics settings
SubnetSiege has a new renderer.
What is new
- WebGPU where your browser has it. Current Chrome, Edge and Safari draw the game with WebGPU. Other browsers use WebGL 2 as before, and the game picks for you.
- Glow and reflections. Neon lines, beams, flags and explosions now glow, and metal reflects the arena around it.
- Smoother edges on Medium and High.
- A team-colour rim on every player, so you can tell red from blue from any side, even from behind.
- Graphics settings. Choose Low, Medium or High in the menu, or leave it on Auto: Auto starts from what your machine can do, lowers the drawing resolution a little if frames get slow, and only then steps down a setting.
- Faster where it counts. Players are drawn in far fewer pieces than before, so busy fights cost less.
If something looks wrong on your machine, the menu has a renderer choice: pick WebGL to switch back, and please tell us at contact@subnetsiege.com which browser and graphics card you use.
